PROJECT BACKGROUND
In consistence with the continually evolving socioeconomic situation in afghanistan focused donor interest in finding durable solution to the protracted afghan refugee situation in Pakistan and UNHCR derivation of natural strategic objective based on a reoriented policy for the refugee programme 2006 is expected to work on ad strength the country wide protection based programme in lien of the two decade of the basic and assistance projects.
OBJECTIVES
Continuous to provide adequate qualities of water to the refugees for drinking and other household purpose Rehabilitate existing water system with maximum participation of the community Undertake regular water quality testing and monitoring in all refugee villages

Water points developed and maintained Water storage and distribution system constructed and maintained Existed wells rehabilitated Bore holes improved and installed with hand pumped Emergency water intervention made in case of emergencies Water supply routinely chlorinated
INDICATORS
100% of the refugee population has acces to a minimum of 15 lit/person/day of safe drinking water 100%of identified dug wells and self bore holes are improver depend and repair with active community participation Test result indicate safe level of bacteriological contents Number of diarrhea cases,parasites,fungal and other skin diseases,eye infection reported
